The fourth International Festival of Falconry (IFF), being held from 4th to 9th December, will bring falconers and academics from around the world together to share their expertise and insights.
With the first edition having been held in 1976, the latest instalment aims to inspire the youth of the UAE to learn the importance of falconry to the national identity and take a leading role in preserving customs and conservation efforts.
HE Majed Al Mansoori, chairman of the higher organising committee of IFF and CEO of Emirates Falconry Club, said: “The UAE continues to reinforce its position as a global pioneer in the field of living heritage preservation.”
From 4th to 7th December the event will be hosted in Al Ain Park, exclusively for specialists, before moving to Khalifa Park and opening to the public from 7th to 9th December.
Visitors can enjoy bird of prey demonstrations, talks, exhibits, practical workshops, a traditional Bedouin tent, music and poetry performances as the event returns for the first time since 2014.
