Abu Dhabi has closed its borders and travel between the cities of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah is prohibited during the same time period.
The news broke Sunday evening during an announcement from Abu Dhabi Media Office via the Abu Dhabi Emergency and Crisis Committee for the Covid-19 Pandemic, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police and the Department of Health.
Abu Dhabi Emergency and Crisis Committee for the Covid-19 Pandemic, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police and DOH, have announced a ban on movement entering & exiting the emirate and between its regions (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, & Al Dhafrah) starting from Tuesday 2 June, for 1 week.

The latest policy is part of a string of policies in place to protect public health and safety.
Those who are exempt will still be required to apply for a move permit.
Abu Dhabi’s borders are expected to reopen on Tuesday, 9th June.
